How this all Started

Almost 20 years ago my wife was attacked by a student and severly injured. Even after back surgery she remained in constant pain,
Five years ago one of our nephews suggested she try CBD oil.
I bought some and mixed it in her body cream and applied it to her back. Within minutes she was pain free.
Having majored in Physics and chemistry in college, I wanted to know how and why. It took almost a year until I found a Federally certified grower and producer of PURE CBD who would supply Certificates of Analysis for their products and we began production of Lake Hartwell CBD products.
Having been a beekeeper for almost 40 years, making CBD Honey and Honey Straws just came naturally. It took almost another year to find a machine that would make the straws in a consistent and controllable manner. Making the tinctures and oils was fairly straight forward but mixing CBD into pure Honey without the EARTHY taste or having the mixture separate took time. Making capsules came a little latter and now have Gummy Bears and Gummy Rings in multiple strengths and can make them in any strength you may desire We are one of only about 3 CBD companies who can and do make CBD chewing gum. We have made CBD infused chocolate and cheese but the law is very vague on selling them. As soon as that is clarified we will have them for sale.

CBD Facts

CBD was removed from the FEDERAL Schedule 1 list on December 20, 2019 and is now legal in all 50 states, but under very strict controls. It must be grown by Federally approved growers on approved acreage under constant monitoring. When harvested it must be processed under controlled conditions and samples submitted to an approved testing lab. If it fails the test for THC, the entire crop must be destroyed. It will be considered Marijuana and not Hemp.

The Post Office (March 2021) granted approval to mail all CBD products. Airline Carry On of CBD is technically legal but is at the discretion of the airline and inspecting agent. We suggest you check it .

HONEY FACTS

Honey has been the choice for natural healing and allergy relief for centuries. Until the advent of WWII Honey was used as an antibiotic to treat just about anything including gun shot wounds. It is still used today in wound care such as bed sores and skin ulcers. The best honey comes from local beekeepers as their bees make honey from the surrounding plants. This means that small amounts of local pollen will be in the honey and help desensitize you to local allergy causing trees and plants. Local beekeepers also do not filter their honey like commercial companies do. Where commercial honey companies filter almost everything out, local beekeepers filtering is more like straining, which leaves some pollen and all the flavor in.

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?

The only difference between Hemp and Marijuana is the spelling.

Full Spectrum CBD is made by extracting everything possible from the hemp plant. We currently know of over 130 separate components that make up the extracted oil. The oil may also contain pesticides, heavy metals and other unwanted components. Full spectrum may legally contain up to 0.3% THC (What gets you high). Full Spectrum is for the person who wants everything that the plant has to offer, good and bad.

Broad Spectrum is Full Spectrum that contains many but not all of the original compounds. Some have been removed for other purposes or to clean the oil. Some of these byproducts are useful on their own and are being investigated. Broad Spectrum CBD usually contains NO THC (NO HIGH). Broad Spectrum is useful for the person who wants most of the Hemp plants components but not all and knows that it may or may not contain any THC. Unless the broad spectrum you buy comes with a Certificate of Analysis (COA) you have no idea what is in it.

Isolate is the purest form of CBD available. Is it is the crystalline form of CBD and is usually 95% or greater pure CBD. Isolate has had everything but CBD removed and contains NO THC (NO HIGH). We like CBD Isolate as we know what we are using and it has had more research done on it than the other component of the Hemp plant. We can add other components back in, as more research is done and if they prove helpful. CBN and CBG are currently added to our CBD pain relief cream. What this addition of them is believed to do, is to work to create an entourage effect where the three working together are more powerful than they are alone. We chose to put them in the cream as it is applied topically and not taken internally. They appear to be helping in the cream, but I do not have enough information or know of enough research done to convince me to add them to our other products, which are taken by mouth.

COAs – Certificate of Analysis These are tests run on the product by a separate certified lab. Not the people you buy the CBD from. The COA specifies what else was found in the test sample and how much, as well as if the amounts pass the federal guidelines for that item. IF YOUR SUPPLIER CAN NOT, OR WILL NOT GLADLY SUPPLY YOU WITH COPIES OF THEIR COAs ……….WALK AWAY.
